The rules for using the Baobabstay platform.

1. Purpose and role of the platform

Baobabstay is a platform connecting hosts who offer accommodation with travelers who wish to book it. Baobabstay acts as a technical intermediary: we neither own nor rent out the listed properties, and we are not a party to the rental agreement between host and traveler.

2. Definitions

“Host” means a member who publishes and offers accommodation; “Traveler” means a member who searches for or books accommodation; “Listing” means a published property; “Booking” means the agreement formed between a host and a traveler through the platform.

3. Account

Creating an account requires accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. An account is personal and may not be transferred.

4. Listings and booking formation

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings (description, photos, amenities, price, availability) and for complying with laws applicable to renting. A confirmed booking forms an agreement directly between host and traveler, under the conditions shown at the time of booking.

5. Cancellations and refunds

The applicable cancellation terms are those shown on the listing and at booking time. Any refunds follow those terms. In case of dispute, Baobabstay may mediate but is not obliged to.

6. Service fees

Baobabstay may charge a service fee on bookings, shown transparently before confirmation. Exact terms will be communicated when payments go live.

7. Taxes

Each party is responsible for its own tax obligations relating to its activity (in particular hosts' rental income). Baobabstay may be required to report certain information to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable regulations (e.g. platform reporting obligations).

8. Content and license

You keep your rights over the content you publish (text, photos). By publishing it, you grant Baobabstay a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display it for the purpose of operating the service. You warrant that you own the rights to the content you publish.

9. User conduct

You agree to use the platform in good faith, not to publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content, and not to circumvent the platform to avoid service fees.

10. Liability

Baobabstay connects hosts and travelers but does not guarantee the compliance, safety or legality of the properties. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law; nothing herein limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Suspension and termination

Baobabstay may suspend or close an account in the event of breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or threats to the security of the service. You may close your account at any time.

12. Dispute resolution

For any complaint, first contact our support at support@baobabstays.com. We strive to resolve disputes amicably before any other recourse.

13. Changes to the terms

We may amend these terms. Substantial changes will be signaled within a reasonable time; continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law
